Woman attacks ex-boyfriend with acid for marrying another woman in Kurnool

Andhra Pradesh, Sep 04, 2020: In a shocking incident, a jilted lover attacked her ex-boyfriend with acid after he married another woman in Pedda Kottala village in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.
Nagendra, who works at a grocery shop was allegedly attacked by acid by his ex-girlfriend Supriya, an intermediate drop out.
They were in a relationship for three years. It has been alleged they were going to marry but their parents rejected the proposal on the grounds of different castes.
Nagendra married another woman Laxmi last month.
Furious over the development, Supriya threw acid on her boyfriend on Friday.
The injured Nagendra was admitted to Nandyal Government Hospital for treatment.
He claimed that he only married another woman after consulting Supriya. He added that this was her second attempt to attack him.
He also alleged that his Supriya had taken money for the mutual break-up.
Police have registered a case against the accused.
