New Delhi, March 31, 2014: A 40-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by two men, including a doctor, in south Delhi’s Hauz Khas on Saturday afternoon.
The woman has also alleged that four men, including this duo, had raped her about three years ago.
While three of the accused are still at large, police on Sunday arrested 40-year-old Vikas, who is alleged to have raped the woman earlier.
The woman is said to have been associated with an NGO in the past, but was currently looking for another job. She has told police 40-year-old Raj Narayan had taken her near Sai Temple in Lodhi Colony on Saturday to meet a doctor Relia, 75, regarding a security guard’s job at a dispensary.
After the meeting with Relia, the three left for Hauz Khas to meet an 80-year-old man, Kishore Chand Narang, at his residence. Instead of any discussions related to her job, Relia and Narayan allegedly took turns to rape the woman at the house. Police said the victim has alleged that even Narang was present at the house at the time of the crime.
“The men dumped her in front of AIIMS Trauma Centre at about 5:30 pm. We sent her for a medical test after she approached us to file a complaint,” said a police officer, adding that the medical test has confirmed rape.
The woman also told police that she was gang-raped by the trio and another man, Vikas, 40, about three years ago. “She claims she couldn’t muster the courage to approach police at that time,” said the officer.
