1 dead; 2 critical in horrific bike-lorry crash near Farangipete

Bantwal, September 24, 2024: A bike rider lost his life while two others sustained serious injuries in a horrific collision between their bike and a lorry at Maripalla Junction near Farangipete during the early hours of September 24, Tuesday.
The deceased is Sevanth (21) of Sullia. Sevanth who was a student of private college had been to the accommodation of two of his friends after college on Monday and stayed with them. Later during the wee hours of Tuesday, the three friends travelled towards Sullia when a lorry rammed into the bike at Maripalla junction at around 2.30 am. Chethak was riding the bike, while Yatish and Sevanth were pillion riding. All three who were seriously injured were rushed to the hospital. However, Sevanth succumbed to his injuries.
The negligence of the lorry driver has been blamed for the mishap.
