Mangaluru, October 10, 2024: Shree Venkataramana Temple at Carstreet in Mangaluru is celebrating the 102nd Shree Sharada Mahotsava at the temple’s Acharya Mutt Premises. The celebrations which began on October 8 will be held until October 14 and will culminate with a grand procession.
The idol of Goddess Sharada was installed on October 9 at 7 am in the beautifully decorated Acharya Mutt. The Temple is illuminated and looks majestic for the grand festivities.
There will be Ranga Pooja till October 13 and devotees can have darshan and offer prayers to Goddess Sharada every day from 10 am to 10 pm during the festival days.
On October 13, the Goddess will be decorated as Kalika Devi. On this day, there will be Vidyarambha at 10 am and special Deepalankara Seve at 6 pm.
On October 14 at 5 pm, the idol of Goddess Sharada will have a Poornalankara. The Visarjana procession will be held in the presence of Srimad Shankarashrama Swamiji of Chitrapur Mutt Samsthan.
The seer will be accorded a grand welcome at the temple on October 14 at 4.30 pm and he will later witness the grand Shobha Yatra which will commence at 8 pm. The procession which will pass through Sri Mahamayee Temple, Manjeshwar Govind Pai Circle, Dongerkeri, New Chitra Talkies road, Basavanagudi and Chamaragalli will later conclude with the immersion of the idol of the Goddess at the lake of Sri Mahamayee Temple.
