11th Annual convocation of Nitte University on Nov 13

Mangaluru, Nov 11, 2021: Nitte (Deemed to be University) will conduct its Eleventh Annual Convocation (Blended Mode) on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 10.30 a.m. at K. S. Hegde Auditorium. The University offers one Diploma course, Two Post Graduate Diploma courses, sixteen undergraduate courses, Fifty-Three postgraduate courses, Two Fellowship programs and one Super Specialty Course in M.Ch Urology, apart from doctoral programs under the faculties of Medicine, Dental Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Biological Sciences, Allied Health Sciences, Humanities and Architecture.  The various degrees that will be awarded are Doctor of Philosophy(Ph.D.), Doctor of Medicine(MD), Master of Surgery(MS), Master of Dental Surgery(MDS), Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm.), Doctor Pharamcy (Pharm.D) Doctor Pharmcy (Post Baccalaureate),   M.Sc.(Nursing), Master of Physiotherapy, Master of Public Health, M.Sc.(MIT), M.Sc.(A&OTT), MA(J&MC), M.Sc.(Biomedical Science), M.Sc. (Food Safety and Biotechnology), M.Sc. (Micriobilogy), M.Sc. (Biotechnology),  Fellowship in Oral Impalntolgy,  MBBS, BDS, B.Pharm, B.Sc.(Nursing), P.B.B.Sc.(Nursing), BPT, B.Sc.(MIT), B.Sc.(A&OTT), B.Sc.(MLT), BA(J&MC), B.Sc. Biomedical Science (Honours) and B.Arch. 

 

The convocation address will be delivered by Padmashri Prof.(Dr.) Balram Bhargava, Secretary to the Government of India, Dept. of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Director General, Indian Council of Medical Research. Sri N. Vinaya Hegde, Hon’ble Chancellor of the University will preside over the convocation ceremony. Prof. Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor will deliver the welcome address, Prof. Dr. M. Shantharam Shetty, Pro-Chancellor (Hospital Management), Sri. Vishal Hedgde, Pro Chancellor (Admin) and Prof. Dr. M.S. Moodithaya Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Alka Kulkarni, Registrar, Prof. Dr. Prasad B. Shetty, Controller of Examinations will be present.

A total of 1040 (One thousand Forty) students will be awarded the degrees- Doctor of Philosophy-30, Medical-229 (PG-78+UG-151),Dental-144(Fellowship-2+PG-48+UG-94),Pharmacy-193(PG-93+UG-100),Nursing-107(PG-5+UG-102), Physiotherapy -75 (PG-26+UG-49),  Allied Health Sciences- 123(PG-21+102), Journalism & Mass Communication-46  (PG-10+ UG-36), Biological Sciences-65 (PG-19 +UG-46) and Architecture-28 (UG).

During this convocation, a total of Twenty Three Gold Medals (Eleven Nitte University Gold Medals and Twelve Endowment Gold Medals) and Fifty Four Merit certificates will be awarded (34- PG and 20-UG).
