14 year old boy dies in scooter- bus collision near Kateel

Mangaluru, Jan 03, 2023: A 14 year old boy who was pillion riding a two-wheeler lost his life when a bus hit the two-wheeler at Ullanje near Kateel on January 3, Tuesday.

The deceased is Charan (14), a ninth standard student of Kateel school. The boy who is a resident of Killanje had sought a lift from the two-wheeler rider who was going towards Kinnigoli.

 

However, the bus heading towards Kateel from Kinnigoli rammed into the scooter near Jumadigudde. Charan  fell on to the road and came under the bus resulting in his death. The scooterist fell on the other side of the road thus escaping the jaws of death.

The accident resulting in disruption of traffic for over an hour.

The father of the deceased boy works in a mill at Kinnigoli. He is survived by his parents, brother and sister.
