2 bike riders killed in road mishap at Padil

Mangalore, Feb 8, 2013: Two motorcyclists lost their lives in an accident reported from Padil on the NH 75 on the afternoon of February 8, Friday. The deceased are Santosh and Anand Devadiga.


Sources said the mishap took place when the motorcyclists were proceeding towards Padil. It is said as the bike was negotiating a curve, it skid, hit against the divider and fell on the other side of the road and was eventually hit by an Akshaya Patra vehicle.

If the rider died on the spot, the pillion rider died in the hospital. It is said one of them hailed from Karkala.


Mangalore Rural Police have registered a case.
