Mangaluru, April 4, 2021: The Airports Authority of India has served a notice to the Adani firm following allegations that the company had promoted it’s brand by violating the contract agreements in three airports including Mangaluru International Airport.
It may be recalled here that the Union Government has handed over the Mangaluru International Airport to the Adani firm for a period of 50 years during the period when the firm will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and development of the airport.
The Authority has said that as per the contract the contracting agency cannot display its name in the form of advertisement in any part of the airport and can also not use the logo of the Airports Authority along with its name and that even while issuing advertisement only Mangaluru International Airport has to be mentioned.
