Further explaining the purpose of the protest, he said that the students’ wing of ABVP will expose these corrupt leaders through its “Break the Silence” (Moo Thodo) campaign, which was launched nationwide on Jan 6.

Listing out the wrongdoings of the central government, he said that this government has looted the nation of Rs. 1.76 lakh crore in the 2G scam and Rs. 78,000 crore in the Commonwealth Games, cheated families of martyrs via its Adarsh Society scam, and appointed P. J. Thomas as the Chief Vigilance Commissioner, adding that all this was possible only with the support of the PM, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, and AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi.

Alleging that the removal of Union Minister A. Raja, Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, and CWG Organizing Committee Chairman Suresh Kalmadi is just eyewash while a number of corrupt personalities have gone scot free, he said that the centre intends to remove the attention of the public from its corrupt activities. The ABVP intends to create awareness among the public and urge them to break its silence over the scams of the central government, he informed.

Organizing Secretary Harsha B. and Taluk Organizer Sujith also delivered protest speeches. Over 150 students from different colleges all over the city participated in the protest.
