Air India launches Mangalore - Delhi flight from March 28

Mangalore, March 23: Mangalore will have its first ever flight connection to Delhi from Sunday. Chellam Prasad, the Mangalore Station Manager for Air India, informed the reporters of Hindu that Air India will begin operating a Mangalore - Delhi flight everyday except on Saturdays.

She said that Air India will operate the flight along 2 circular routes through Kozhikode. The first route will be along Delhi - Mangalore - Kozhikode - Delhi. The second will be along Delhi - Kozhikode - Mangalore - Delhi. The flight will be stationed at Delhi.

The route will be changed on alternate days. For instance, if the flight is along the Delhi - Mangalore - Kozhikode - Delhi route on Sunday, it will follow the Delhi - Kozhikode - Mangalore route on Monday.

Air India will announce the detailed schedule within a couple of days. The biggest advantage of the new flight is that it will enable the people of Mangalore to fly directly from Mangalore - Delhi every day, except on Saturdays.
