All engineering colleges too must adhere to holiday orders of District Administration: DC

Mangaluru, July 09, 2022: Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra has said that all schools and colleges have to mandatorily adhere to the orders of the District Administration whenever a holiday is declared for educational institutions when there is heavy rain.

 

Addressing a meeting of principals of engineering colleges of the district on July 8, Friday, the DC said the managements of the engineering colleges must undertake a survey as to how students come to college and find out whether they come from rural areas, reside in hostel and the mode of transportation they use to attend college. The colleges must mandatorily declare holiday whenever the administration declares holiday and those failing will face stern action under Disaster Management Act, he said.

MCC in-charge Commissioner Prashanth Mishra, Additional DC Krishnamurthi, DDPI K Sudhaker, principals  of various engineering colleges attended the meeting.
