All women crew operated a goods train from Palakkad Junction to Erode

March 08, 2023: In connection with the International Women’s Day Celebration organized by Palakkad Division, a Goods train completely manned by women employees- LP, ALP and Guard was operated from Palakkad Junction on 08.03.2023. The Goods train- ICDW/Containers was hauled by Multiple Electric Locomotives with 45 wagons and a brake van, carrying a load of 1094 Tonnes will run upto Erode.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The goods train left Palakkad Junction at 09.35 hrs.

Smt. S.Biji, Loco Pilot/Goods was the Loco Pilot and Smt. Gayathri. K was the Senior Assistant Loco Pilot of the Goods train. Smt. Nimisha Bhanu.C.K. was the Guard of the train. All these lady staff belongs to Palakkad Depot. This is the first time that a train is being operated which is fully manned by lady crew in Palakkad Division.
