Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan began by playing the Desha Raga. They were later joined by Padma Bhushan Ustad Amjad Ali Khan. Their sarods were accompanied by the tabla of Pandit Vijay Ghate; and after a few “sawaal-jawaabs,” the instruments came together for the crescendo. The tighalbandhi concluded with the Pallavi.

A performance titled “Varnali” by an Odyssey group belonging to the Rudraksha Foundation of Bhubaneshwar from 8:10 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. was also shown on the same day.

On the sidelines of the event, Alva’s Foundation Chairman Dr. Mohan Alva told reporters that the six-day programme has assumed the significance of an international festival, with a large number of foreigners participating. He said that the audience comprised at least 650 foreigners, who had specially arrived to enjoy the cultural richness of India. He also said that the size of the audience had swelled on the second day.
