Mangalore, April 29: Senior litterateur Amrutha Someshwara released “Gagana Soorya,” a novel by M C Jayyappa, assistant librarian at Mangalore University, at Press Club on April 29, Thursday.
Shri Amrutha Someshwara said that “Gagana Soorya” is among the best books written by M C Jayyappa. The novel revolves around the beautiful relationship between a boy and a girl who are pursuing their post graduate education. The book doesn’t focus on a particular character, but beautifully illustrates the life of a student, touching on the friendship and budding love between boys and girls. The senior writer also said that a person who has never experienced love in his/her life is the most unlucky person in the world.
Dr. R Narasimhamurthy, the head of the Kannada Department, Gokarnanatheshwara College, spoke about the novel. Dr. Prakadhchandra Shishila, lecturer of first grade college, Car Street, compered the programme. M C Jayyappa expressed gratitude.
