Mangalore, Jan 23, 2013:  The Annual Feast of St Antony will be held  at one of   Mangalore’s ancient  Jacobite Syrian Cathedral on   Jan 24, 25 and 26

.

 

 

Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Jan 23, Wednesday, Fr Philip Vaidyan, Vicar said that on Thursday Jan 24, the evening mass will be held at   6pm. A retreat for couples will be  held on January  25  from 9.30 am to 1 pm.

On Jan 26,  Saturday the Holy Mass of Five Alters (Penta Mass) will begin at 8 am followed by the intercessory prayers to the Saints and  Eucharist procession. The Feast ends with the  lunch offering.

This year’s festive mass will be led by H G Zacharias Mor Philaxinose (Gregorian Centre, Thuthooty, Kottayam) and H G Yacob Mor Anthoniose (Honnavar Mission). The Choir of ‘Syrian Melodies’ will assist in the Holly Mass.  

Alongside the Annual Feast, service projects like distribution of houses to the poor, scholarship for the financial backward students and food offerings will be held.
