Assistance denied to accident victim for nearly 10 minutes

Mangalore, Nov 5, 2011 : An incident that clearly illustrates the fact that people have become more and more insensitive these days happened near Rao and Rao Circle, State Bank, at 6:15 p.m. last evening.

 

 

 

A man, whose legs had gotten caught in the tyres of a Route No. 12 bus, remained in the painful position for nearly 10 minutes while people looked on without moving a finger to help him. Even the conductor and driver of the bus pretended as if nothing had happened.

A huge crowd of people stood around watching the man writhing in pain and crying out the help, but did nothing to help him. On the contrary, more and more people gathered on the scene wanting to know what had happened. The man remained in this position for nearly 10 minutes till a group of auto rickshaw drivers rushed to his rescue and took him to a hospital.
