Astro Mohan wins his second international prize

Udupi, Jun 28, 2012 : Astro Mohan, the widely renowned photojournalist, has won the first prize in the international photo contest organized by the UK-based Nikon for his photo of the Kambala, the traditional buffalo racing event of DK.

 

This is the second international prize won by Astro Mohan.

Nikon organizes monthly photo contests, and this month, a number of photographers had submitted their entries. The organizers shortlisted five photographs and selected the winners through an online voting process.  Astro Mohan’s photo of the kambala was voted to be the best.

The runners-up were Paul Bell’s “Flamin’ Hot,” Samantha Growers “Bolivian Walk,” Lisa O’Mohone’s “Big Wheel,” and Mike Hudson’s “Painting Pinchas.”

Nikon will reward Astro Mohan with a camera and will publish his photo in its monthly magazine.
