B R Shetty inaugurates Alva’s Pragati - 2011

Mangalore, April 9, 2011: Dr BR Shetty, Founder and Managing Director of the NMC Group, inaugurated Alvas Pragathi 2011, a 2-day campus placement drive at Vidyagiri Campus of Alva’s Education Foundation in Moodubidri on Saturday, April 9.

Alva’s Education Foundation Chairman Dr. Mohan Alva said that the placement will be provided in fields such as medical, banking, BPO, engineering, KPO, insurance, IT, and automobile sales. A wide range of reputed companies such as Apollo, Wockhardt, UAE Exchange, Kotak Mahindra, Biocon, Axis Bank, Taj, MCF, Infosys, and others will participate in the campus drive.

Around 150 companies are participating in this event, owing to which Alva’s expects at least 4,000 placements.

The foundation has a flag bearing education institution affiliated to Mangalore University, VTU RGUHs, etc, with the total student strength more than 11,500 during the current year, and it has been expanding its twigs and branches.

Y Sudhir Kumar Shetty, Chief Operating Officer, UAE Exhange, Congress leader Abhay Chandra Jain, Member of Legislative Assembly and former Minister Amarnath Shetty were present.
