BJP candidate Kotian wins from Moodbidri ; Khader triumphs in Ullal, Angara retains Sullia

Moodbidri, May 15 2018:  BJP candidate Umanath Kotian has won from the Mulki-Moodbidri constituency by a margin  of over 29,000 votes by defeating Abhayachandra Jain of the Congress. Umanath secured 87,444 votes as against 57,645 votes secured by Abhayachandra.

In Mangaluru Constituency, sitting MLA  U T Khader has retained his seat by defeating BJP’s Santosh Kumar Rai. Khader secured 80,813 votes while Santosh Rai got  6,1074 votes. JD(S) candidate K Ashraf secured  3,692 votes.


S Angara of the BJP has won for the  consecutive sixth time from Sullia. He secured 95,205 while Dr Raghu from the Congress garnered 69,137 votes.
