Mangalore, Jan 22: Opposition Leader in Legislative Council and former minister Motamma said that the people of Karnataka, who were eagerly waiting for the BJP to attain power, are now disappointed with its inefficiency.
She said that the government must implement innovative schemes, which will enable women’s development instead of creating problems around ration cards, BPL cards, drinking water facility, and so on.
The BJP government had implemented Kishore Yojana, which it had borrowed from the Congress government. As part of the Kishore Yojana, the government had distributed cycles to the girl students of Kannada medium schools in a bid to enhance awareness about the girl child. The government instead of working for the development of the people is publicizing its single achievement of successfully implementing the Kishore Yojana, she said.
The chief minister can do nothing but attend meetings and give speeches. The government has done nothing worthwhile to solve the problems of the farmers, she criticized
Ramanath Rai, Shashidhar Hegde, Mamatha Gatti, Abhay Chandra Jain, and others were present during the occasion.
