BJP protests against ‘inaction’ of state government

Mangaluru, Auguts 29, 2024: BJP workers led by MP Brijesh Chowta and MLA Vedavyas Kamath staged a protest near the PVS Circle on Wednesday to condemn the inaction of the state government with regard to the statement of a Congress leader offending the Governor.
The activists staged a Rasta Roko and shouted slogans against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and MLC Ivan D’Souza.
MP Brijesh Chowta who addressed the protestors, said the CM was struggling to retain his chair after being entangled in Valmiki corporation and MUDA scam. He further alleged that the Congress leaders in their bid to back Siddaramaiah were speaking low about constitutional posts.
Party leaders Pramanand Shetty, Diwaker Pandeshwar, Poornima Rao, Manjula Rao and corporators took part in the protest.
