Mangalore April 20: In protest of the Sam Pitroda committee’s proposals regaridng voluntary retirement and divestment proposals of the state-run telecom player, the employees of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) began an indefinite nation-wide strike today, April 20.

BSNL employees of Dakshina Kannada division have also started an indefinite nation-wide strike against the Centre’s proposal to sell stake in the state-owned telecom firm and plans to offer voluntary retirement to employees.


The agitation took place in front of the telecom house located in Pandeshwara at 10 am on April 20.
