Bantwal, Jan 12, 2023: A man hailing from Sajipa in Bantwal taluk was found dead in the Netravathi river  near Panemangalore old bridge.

The deceased is Rajesh Poojary Sthanamane (36). A two-wheeler was found in an abandoned state on the bridge this morning following which locals had informed the Bantwal police.

The police and fire service personnel with the help of diving experts searched in the river when Rajesh’s body was found.

It is suspected that he might have been accidentally fallen into the river after his bike met with a mishap on Wednesday night.

Police are investigating the case.
