Bantwal: Newly-wed woman dies, husband critical in horrific accident

Bantwal, September 7, 2024: A newly married woman has lost her life while her husband has sustained serious injuries in a horrific car crash at a place called Talapady in Bantwal on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway on Saturday.
The deceased is Manasa. Her husband Anish Krishna from Odyadagaya near Perne has been rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru.
The car was heading towards Mangaluru from BC Road when it went out of control of the driver and jumped the divider and rammed into a KSRTC bus on the other side of the road.
The car was completely mangled and Manasa died on the spot.
The wedding of Manasa and Anish took place just two days ago at Denthadka temple on September 5. The couple had visited Denthadka temple to settle marriage related accounts and were heading towards the residence of Manasa’s parents when tragedy struck.
Both Manasa and Anish worked at a private firm in Mangaluru.
