The police gave name of the accused as Anil Fernandes, 49. They have seized the multi-utility vehicle used for the offence and also the fake number plate that was used for the vehicle.

Six persons had taken away the money from the residence of M. Sulaiman, an agriculturist and a beedi entrepreneur, at Kolnad, under Vitla police station limits on January 3.
