Bantwal, Feb 19, 2024: A young man who attempted suicide by jumping into the river  from the Netravathi bridge at Panemangalore was rescued by locals and handed over to the police.

The youth has been identified as  Nischith (25) from Puttur. It is learnt he was depressed as he could not get a suitable job even after completing his MSW.

Nischith who had come by a two-wheeler had parked his vehicle and  had tried to end his life when locals rescued him.
