Bantwal: Youth electrocuted during pandal works; 4 injured

Bantwal, July 20, 2024: One person died and four others were injured due to electrocution while putting up a pandal on a private land at Kadabettu in Kadeshwalya village on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased is Kundan Kumar Mandal (18) from Bihar. Prasanna of Kadeshwalya, Pradeep of Jarkhand and Rohith of West Bengal who are injured have been admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru.
The pandal was being erected to arrange a cock fighting event. The iron rod being installed came into contact with an electric wire resulting in the tragedy.
Bantwal Rural Police have visited the spot.
