Belthangady: Villagers plant saplings on pothole filled roads; demand early repair

Belthangady, December 20, 2024: Villagers staged a protest against bad roads from Dharmasthala bathing ghat towards Ajikuri and planted saplings on the potholes of the road and demanded early repair.
The bad road has made travel difficult on the road which is used daily by hundreds of school and college students as well as tourists. Locals complain that their repeated appeal to repair the road has fallen on deaf ears.
As a mark of protest on Friday night they planted plantain saplings and other saplings in the potholes of the road.
