Bengaluru CCB cops arrest Chaitra Kundapur for cheating businessman after promising BJP ticket

Udupi, Sep 13, 2023: CCB police of Mangaluru have arrested Chaitra Kundapur and another person on the charges of cheating a businessman from Byndoor of crores of rupees after promising an MLA ticket from BJP. The three were taken into custody in Udupi on September 12, Tuesday night. It may be recalled here that Chaitra is often in the news for her inflammatory speeches.

 

Govind Babu Poojary, a businessman from Byndoor had lodged a complaint at Bandepalya station against Chaitra.

A letter stating that Chaitra and her accomplices had cheated a businessman of Rs 7 crores after promising a BJP ticket, had gone viral in social media.

Following this Chaitra had remained underground since some days and was taken into custody from the parking area of Krishna Mutt on Tuesday night.

Along with her a person named Srikanth Nayak Pelattur has also been taken into custody. They are reportedly being interrogated at an unknown location.

Police have also reportedly taken into custody a few others in this case.
