Besant students present street play focusing on women’s issues

 Mangalore, March 8, 2013 :  A street play was presented by the students of the Department of Journalism of Besant Women’s College on March 8, Friday  as part of International Women’s Day. The main objective of the programme was to sensitize the society on some burning issues pertaining to women.

 

 

While trying to focus on the sensitive approach which the society need to  have  towards women, the street play highlighted  various aspects like the  harassment of women in public as well as work places, the concerns faced when a woman has to work  late hours.

Twenty students  enacted the street play which was presented near the DC office, Central Market area, Car Street, City Centre and near Besant College.
