Bhagini Samaj to celebrate platinum jubilee on Oct 26

Mangalore, Oct 20, 2012 : Bhagini Samaj, the sub constituency of the All India Women’s Conference, is celebrating its platinum jubilee in the auditorium of SDM Law College on Oct 26, Friday at 3:00 p.m.

Announcing the above at a press meet held today, Bhagini Samaj President Vajra N. Rao said that Dr. Sunitha Krishnan, co-founder of Prajwal in Hyderabad will preside over the event. Dr. Prabha Adhikari, professor of medicine at KMC Mangalore; M. N. Rajendra Kumar, president of SCDCC Bank Limited Mangalore; and Dr. Mohan Alva, chairman of Alva’s Foundation Moodubidri, will be present.

Renowned leaders will address the gathering on this occasion. A cultural program will be presented by the children of Bhagini Samaj, Sanidhya Residential School in Shaktinagar, and Kadri Sangeetha Vidhyalaya, she said.

Bhagini Samaj Secretary Vijayalakshmi Bhat Uluvana, Treasurer Kavitha Shenoy, and Ratna Alva were also present.
