Mangalore, March 8, 2013: Sooryanarayana, State Convenor of Bhajrangdal has said that the number of cases of missing of young girls has been increasing over the last six years.
Speaking to reporters at the VHP office here on March 8, Friday , he said most of the missing girls are the ones who have been lured with money in the name of love and then used for human trafficking.
The Bhajrangdal leader was also highly critical of Love Jihad and added this was nothing but a ploy of Muslim youth to lure innocent Hindu girls into their love trap and eventually get them converted.
On this occasion, Sooryanarayana, without mentioning any name also alleged that those indulging in love jihad were funded by many people.
He also referred to the recent case of conversion bid of a young girl from Palthady and said girls are taken to Ponnani for conversion. He further charged the Congress of backing one of its office bearer Nooruddin who is an accused in this case.
Demanding a CoD probe into the Palthady incident, he urged Muslim leaders to advise youngsters to shun from such activities.
