Bhandari Swagat Ranveerchand takes charge as Kasargod DC

Kasargod, Jul 13, 2021: Bhandari Swagat Ranveerchand took charge as the new Deputy  Commissioner of Kasargod district on July 13, Tuesday. She is the first woman Deputy Commissioner to serve Kasargod.

Outgoing DC Dr D Sajith Babu welcomed the new incumbent by presenting her a bouquet and handed over charge to her.

Additional District Magistrate A K Ramachandran,  Revenue Officer Atul Swaminathan and others were present.

Bhandari Swagat is the 24th Deputy Commissioner of Kasargod. She hails from Maharashtra and has earlier served as Director of the Department of Commerce.

Speaking after taking charge, the new DC said her top priority at the moment was to check the spread of Covid in the district.
