Bhasker Shetty case : Court orders DNA test ; 2 accused entrusted to CID custody

Udupi, Aug 24,2016 :  The JMFC Court in Udupi has remanded Rajeshwari, wife of  murdered businessman Bhasker Shetty, his son  Navaneeth Shetty and priest  Niranjan Bhat to judicial custody till September 6  when they were produced before the court on August 24, Wednesday.

In the meantime, Srinivas Bhat, the father of Niranjan and car driver Raghavendra who are facing charges of destroying evidences have been entrusted to the custody of the CID which is investigating the case, till August 29.

Of the five accused, Rajeshwari who is lodged in the District Prison in Mangaluru was produced before the court separately.

Meanwhile, the court which heard the application of the police seeking a DNA test of Bhasker Shetty’s mother and brother, has permitted the same.
