Udupi: August 4, 2015:  Bicycles provided by the State government were distributed among the students of class eight at Nittoor High School here on Monday.

 

P. Yuvaraj, president of Udupi City Municipal Council (CMC), who was the chief guest, said that this scheme was launched by the government so that it would be easier for students to travel from their houses to schools and back. He urged the students to take full advantage of the bicycles.

Students felicitated

Mr. Yuvaraj felicitated the old students of the school on the occasion. Prashanth Bhat, councillor of Perampalli municipal ward, Kamalaksha Shet, members of the Parent Teacher Association were present.

Murali Kadekar, Headmaster of the school, welcomed the gathering. Srijana U., a student, proposed a vote of thanks.
