Mangalore, June 3: The bison that visited Bajpe Airport on May 31, Thursday and ran amok on its runway appeared on the runway once against on June 2, Saturday a 9:00 p.m.
On May 31, airport authorities were greatly concerned about the appearance of a bison on the runway. They finally succeeded in chasing it back into the woods.
On June 2, the bison once again visited the runway at night, but airport workers spotted it in time and chased it back into the woods.
Reportedly, the forest department had requested the airport authorities to raise the height of its boundary wall, but the airport has not taken the advice. Since trees in the surrounding forests are being cut, the bison must have felt confused and wandered out of its territory.
The airport authorities plan to search for the bison today.
