Blood Donation Camp Organized at St Jude’s Shrine

The Pakshikere unit of the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) in collaboration with the Rickshaw Owners and Drivers Union and Fr. Muller Hospital organized a blood donation camp at St Jude’s Shrine on October 19, Monday.

Fr. Alban D’Souza, the priest of Pakshikere, delivered the inaugural address. Dr. Crystal Moras, the head of the blood bank at Fr Muller Hospital, explained the importance of donating blood. Fr Anil D’Souza, the assistant priest, presented a memento to Dr Crystal Moras on the occasion.

The people who had gathered were also told about the importance and usefulness of the 108 emergency service ambulance.

Mr. Louis D’Souza, the vice president of the parish council; Jackson Saldanha, the president of the local unit of ICYM; and Sudhakar Shettigar, the vice president of the Rickshaw Owners and Drivers Union were present at the dais.
