Udupi, Dec 14, 2023: The body of a man who had jumped into the river from Udyavar bridge on Wednesday morning has been traced.

The deceased is Ravindra Bhat (55), a resident of Udupi. He was working  as a salesman of an electronics showroom n Udupi.

On Wednesday morning, he had left home to get parcel but did not return. Later his scooter and footwear were found near the bridge giving room for suspicion that he might have jumped into the river.

Following, a search his body was found in the evening.

The exact cause of the suicide is not known.
