Mangaluru, Nov 23, 2023: The body of Prashanth Kumar of Akashbhavan who was feared drowned in the Phalguni river was traced on November 22, Wednesday afternoon.

Prashanth who was the son of Prabhaker Achary had been to Polali Temple along with friends on Tuesday morning. In the afternoon, they had a bath in the river. His friends in a complaint have said that Prashanth had stepped into the water again on noticing his shoe lace in the water and eventually went missing.

Later the police and fire service personnel launched a search after which the body was retrieved on Wednesday afternoon.

Bajpe police are investigating the case.
