Brahmavar: Three youth die, another missing as boat capsizes

Brahmavar, April 24, 2023: Three youth die and another person is missing after their boat capsized when they had been to pick shell fish in the river near Kukkude Kiniyara Kudru in Brahmavar on April 24, Sunday.

The deceased are Ibaz, Fazan and Soofan Faran. One other person is missing while three others managed to swim ashore.

Some youth from Thirthahalli had come to their relatives’ house at Hoode on account of Ramzan holiday. On Sunday evening, a total of seven men went in a boat to Kukkude Kudru when the boat capsized and all of them fell into the river. Three of them managed to swim upto Kodu Kudru. Following an intense search, bodies of three men were retrieved.

Police, locals and fire service personnel assisted in the operation.
