Mangaluru, December 19, 2024: Girish Bharadwaj of Sullia who is popular as the Bridge Man of India was conferred the Press Club Award at a function organized by the DK District Working Journalists Association on Wednesday.
Girish Bharadwaj has the credit of building over 142 suspension bridges in villages across the nation earning him the title of Sethu Bandhu and Bridge Man of India. He has also been conferred Padma Shri Award in 2017.
The Press Club Award presentation ceremony was graced among others by P B Sudhaker Rai, Chairman of Sullia Industrialists Association, Press Club President P B Harish Rai, DK Working Journalists’ Association President Indaje Srinivas Nayak and Press Club Secretary Ibrahim Adkasthala.
