Bus conductor murder case; probe intensifies

Mangaluru, October 17, 2024: Investigation into the case of murder of a bus conductor near the Indira canteen close by the Hamilton Circle in the city, has picked up pace and the police have reportedly gathered clues about the killers.

It may be recalled here that Rajesh (30) who worked as a conductor in a private bus operating on the Mangaluru-Vittal route was found murdered on Monday with his body reportedly smashed with a stone.

It has been learnt that Rajesh hailed from Bajpe but resided in Mangaluru. He had no parents but only a sister.

The exact reason behind the murder is not known. It is said Rajesh was a friendly person. However he also had some financial dealings and this is suspected to be one of the reasons for the murder.

Police are trying to gather evidences based on CCTV footages.
