Bus driver, conductor booked for abusing lady passenger

Mangaluru, Oct 10, 2023: A lady lawyer has lodged a complaint against the driver and conductor conductor of a private bus at the Kadri station accusing the latter of abusing her.

The complainant K Mufida Rehman of Jalalbagh near Derlakatte is a lawyer by profession. On Monday, just as she was about to board the bus, the driver reportedly started the bus in a haste. Mufida who was about to fall had screamed. Though the driver did not stop the bus, the conductor managed to pull her inside the bus but had reportedly abused her by questioning why she could not hurry up and whether she will fall and die. When the passenger objected to his remarks, he again offended her, the complaint said.

The Kadri police have registered a case against the driver and conductor of the bus.
