Byndoor: One dead, another missing as car falls in sea at Maravanthe

Byndoor, July 3, 2022: One dead, another person missing after car falls into sea from the National Highway at Maravanthe late night on Saturday. The car, moving from Koteshwar to Byndoor on the National Highway 66, lost control over the vehicle and fell into the seawater.

The deceased has been identified as Veeraj Acharya (28) of Koteshwar in Kundapur.

At the time of the accident, there were 4 persons travelling in the car. One among them was killed. Another person is said to be washed away by the sea waves and missing at the time of publishing the news.

Two passengers, who were injured in the mishap have been shifted to a hospital. They are said to be out of danger.

According to local police, six friends were returning in two separate cars after visiting Koynanagar area.  Meanwhile, Gangolli police visited the spot and have undertaken an investigation.
