New Delhi, April 23, 2025: The annual CAHOCON 2025 conference, held on April 12 and 13 at Hotel Pullman Aerocity in New Delhi, witnessed the convergence of over 1,800 healthcare professionals from across India and abroad. Organized by the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations (CAHO), the event featured more than 100 expert speakers and 20 specialized workshops, all aimed at advancing healthcare quality through collaborative learning.

A major highlight of the conference was the presentation of the EndoSafe Excellence Awards, recognizing institutions demonstrating exceptional performance in endoscopy services.

Justice K.S. Hegde Charitable Hospital, the teaching hospital of K.S. Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA), was awarded the EndoSafe Excellence Award in the Large Healthcare Organization – South Zone category. The accolade acknowledges the hospital’s exemplary standards in endoscopy care and its commitment to clinical excellence in southern India.

The award ceremony was attended by prominent healthcare leaders, including Dr. Shin Ushiro, Board Member of the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua), CAHO President Dr. Vijay Agarwal, Secretary General Dr. Lallu Joseph, and EndoSafe Program Coordinators Dr. Parivalavan Rajavelu and Ms. Dhanya Michael. Also present was Ms. Barnali Barnik, Senior Manager of Training at ASP.

Receiving the award on behalf of the hospital were Dr. Sumalatha R. Shetty (Medical Superintendent), Dr. Chandrashekar Sorake (Head of Medical Gastroenterology), Dr. Chingu Raphy (Assistant Quality Manager), and Dr. Maumita Deb (Hospital Infection Control Officer).

Adding to its accolades, on April 13, Justice K.S. Hegde Charitable Hospital was also presented with the I-Comply Excellence Certification, scoring an impressive 86% for its infection control measures and antibiotic stewardship initiatives. The certification was awarded by Dr. Sanjeev Singh (Medical Superintendent, Amrita School of Medicine), Dr. Jayalakshmi J (Head, Microbiology Department, KMCH Institute of Health Sciences and Research, Coimbatore), and Dr. Malathi Murughesan (HIC Officer, Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre, Madurai).
