CCB Police Arrest Two for MDMA Trafficking in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, August 28, 2024: The CCB police have arrested two individuals for transporting and selling MDMA in Mangaluru. Acting on a tip-off, officers intercepted a two-wheeler near KC Road in Talapady and seized 15 grams of MDMA, valued at Rs 75,000, along with two mobile phones, a digital weighing scale, and a Dio two-wheeler. The total value of the seized items is estimated at Rs 1,65,000.


CCB-drug case


The accused, Abdul Salam (30) and Suraj Rai (26), both from Kasargod district, Kerala, have previous drug-related cases. They were allegedly sourcing MDMA from Kerala and selling it to the public and students in Mangaluru. The police are investigating further to identify others involved in the trafficking network.

The operation was led by CCB ACP Manoj Kumar Naik, along with police inspectors Shyam Sundar H M, PSIs Narendra, and other CCB personnel. A case has been registered at Ullal police station.
