Mangaluru, July 7, 2024: The CCB police have successfully arrested Mohammad Safwan (32), a resident of Bannur, Puttur, for trafficking the prohibited drug MDMA. During the operation, the police seized 36 grams of MDMA worth Rs 90,000.

Acting on precise information, the CCB police identified and apprehended Safwan while he was involved in the sale and transportation of MDMA on a bike at Ullalbail in Ullal.

In addition to the MDMA, the police confiscated a mobile phone, a digital weighing scale, and the bike used for transportation. The investigation suggests that more individuals may be involved in this drug trafficking network, and efforts are underway to apprehend them.

A case has been registered at the Ullal police station regarding this incident.
