Mangalore, April 20: The Chief Minister’s Gold Medal was conferred on Dr. Nidarsh D. Hegde, the commandant of Home Guards, DK, at a glittering award ceremony, held in Bangalore.



The CM himself conferred the gold medal on Dr. Hegde in appreciation of his excellent performance as commandant of Home Guards in DK.


Dr. Hegde is one of the members of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) senate and the recipient of the National Best Young Dentist Award.


 He took over as the commandant of the DK Home Guards 3 years back.
