CM encouraging moral policing acts, alleges Siddaramaiah

Mangaluru, Dec 17, 2022: Senior Congress leader and former chief minister Siddaramaiah has lashed out at Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai over the several moral policing incidents in the district of late.

 

"The law of the land does not allow such act. There have been at least  seven to eight incidents in a span of two months. This is condemnable. The CM himself is encouraging such acts. There is a need for stern action against those resorting to moral policing," Siddaramaiah said.

Speaking to reporters at the Mangalore International Airport, Siddaramaiah while referring to DK Shivakumar’s  statement, alleged that  the BJP  has twisted facts and was misleading the public.

"Shivakumar has only said that the cooker blast case was being used by the BJP for political  gains. He has never said anything about encouraging terrorism," Siddaramaiah added.

He questioned whether the double engine BJP government has succeeded in curbing terrorism. Instead of instigating people and inciting  sentiments  let them pay attention to curbing terrorism, Siddaramaiah retorted.
