Karkala, Feb 08, 2024: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has ordered a CID investigation in the controversy revolving around the Parashurama Theme Park at Bailur in Karkala.

It may be recalled here that the Theme Park controversy had led to several protests with allegations that the towering statue of Parashurama was not made of bronze as told by the erstwhile BJP government which had declared open the park months ahead of the previous Assembly elections. The theme park was the ambitious project of the then minister and present MLA Sunil Kumar.

Several Congress leaders of the constituency had alleged that the statue was not made of bronze but was a fibre statue.
